X-Ray Security Inspection Scanner is a set of imaging system that can produce digital radiant images. The purpose of the radiography system is to convert the detailed image information that is invisible to the naked eye to the visible image of the naked eye. In the traditional method, the optical imaging system is composed of light source, visual information receptor, visual signal conversion, and transmission equipment.
The inspected item enters the inspection lane and obscures the baggage detection sensor (light barrier). The detection signal is sent to the control unit, which generates an X-ray trigger signal that triggers the X-ray source to emit X-rays, which pass through the collimator to form a very thin fan-shaped X-ray beam that passes through the inspected item and reaches the detector. The detector converts the optical signal of the X-rays into an electrical signal and then reproduces the outline, composition, and material properties of the item inside the parcel using image processing software. Once the inspected item has passed through the inspection area, the ray generator stops producing rays. When the item is inspected, a very thin fan-shaped X-ray beam will sweep through the inspected item layer by layer, which is equivalent to slicing the inspected item. The image acquisition system collects and stores the image information for each layer of the scan line, and when the conveyor belt conveys the inspected item through the inspection area, the entire image information of the inspected item will be obtained, forming its complete X-ray image The generated image can be displayed on the monitor or stored When the x-ray baggage scanner is in operation, security personnel needs to determine the type of item to be inspected by observing the color and outline of the items presented in the X-ray image.
